Obituary

Mrs. Alma Little, age 93, of 2001 S. Lee Street, died Wednesday, August 24, 2011. A native of Worth County, born March 20, 1918, Mrs. Little was the daughter of the late John Dillard Grubbs and Ida Rose Johnson Grubbs. She was a past member of VFW Post #658 in Macon and a past member of Georgia Power Ambassador's Club. She was a homemaker and a member of Log Cabin Baptist Church in Macon. Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 29, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Andersonville National Cemetery with Rev. Steve Youngblood officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 28, 2011 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel. Survivors include one daughter, Linda Little Tyson of Hahira; one son, Hugh M. Little, Jr. of Andersonville; one sister, Marie Halstead of Leesburg; one brother, Earl Grubbs of Albany; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to The League of the Good Samaritan, 2001 S. Lee Street, Americus, Georgia 31709 or to a charity of one's choice. Cemetery: Andersonville National Cemetery
