Mrs. Adrian Turpin Dudley passed away peacefully at her residence in Americus on August 19, 2015. Adrian was born on July 16, 1925 in Sumter County to Ayres Bouyer and Lila Webb Turpin. She graduated from Americus High School. During World War II, she worked at the War Price and Ration Board in Americus, and she also enjoyed attending events at the local USO. She married William Harris Crawford Dudley, who served in the 450th Bomb Group, U.S Army, and they had four children. She later worked in public relations at GSW and from there enjoyed a 12-year career at the Sumter County Tax Assessor's Office before retiring. A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 AM Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Oak Grove cemetery with the Rev. Earl Dunmon officiating. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Mrs. Dudley to the Perfect Care Memorial Fund, 114 Sullivan Dr., Americus, GA 31709; Phoebe Sumter Hospice, P.O. Box 1434, Americus, Ga 31709 or a charity of choice. The family would like to thank the loving staff at Perfect Care for their excellent care provided to Mrs. Dudley. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Stella and Louis Bridges of Americus; her brother and sister-in-law Bill and Liz Turpin of Americus; her sister-in-law Mrs. Ayres B. Turpin, Jr. (Eudora) of Jacksonville, FL; her daughters and sons-in-law Deanie and Bill Fricks of Naples, FL; Louise and Alan Mackey, Mary Lila and Robert Littlejohn of Americus; her son and daughter-in-law Crawford and Mary Ann Dudley of Americus; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, William Harris Crawford Dudley. She is remembered for her kindness, love and devotion to family and friends, and her love of the Lord.
