Obituary for Willie J. Mason

Mr. Willie Junior Mason, age 83, of 406 Hwy 280 East, Americus, died on Monday, July 5, 2010 at his residence. A native of Goldsboro, NC, Mr. Mason was born June 28, 1927 the son of Willie and Myrtle Mason. Mr. Mason was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and loved to fish and hunt. He was an avid gardener and loved his Church. Mr. Mason was the owner and operator of Masons Wrecker Service for over 50 years.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 10 AM at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel with Rev. William Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Arabi Cemetery. Pall bearers will include Richard Mason, Bill Mason, Scott Mason, John Castleberry, Bobby Castleberry and Ed Vogt. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 7, 2010 from 6 until 8 PM at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 235 Calvary Church Road, Leslie, GA 31764.
Survivors include a nephew, Bill and Susan Mason of Zanesville, OH; two brothers, Albert Mason of McDonough and Richard Mason of Ringold; three grandchildren, Jennifer Mason of Americus, Scott Mason of Batavia, OH, and Christopher Mason of Valdosta and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by special friend, Julie Smith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie Mason; his son, Jimmy Mason and his daughter, Carolyn Mason.

Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 235 Calvary Church Road, Leslie, GA 31764.

Cemetery:
Burial will follow at Arabi Cemetery.

Visitation:
The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 7, 2010 from 6 until 8 PM at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel.

Service:
