Obituary for Rufulyn 'Biddie' Mathews Jones

Mrs. Rufulyn Biddie Mathews Jones, age 86, of 119 N Country Club Drive, Americus, died April 15, 2010 at her residence. A native of Americus, Mrs. Jones was born the daughter of the late Rufus and Edith Cobb Mathews. Mrs. Jones was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, Junior Service League, a homemaker and she was a bookkeeper at Randy Jones Oil Company until it sold.
Graveside services will be held Monday, April 19, 2010, at 11:00 AM, at Oak Grove Cemetery with Father Don Hutchins officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, April 18, 2010, at the home of Randy and Nancy Jones, 303 Ga. Hwy 49 North. Honorary pallbearers will be Furlow Gatewood, William E. Billy Smith, Walter Rylander, Billy Heys and Jimmy Horne. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Calvary Episcopal Church, 408 S. Lee St., Americus, Ga. 31709 or to Hospice of Americus and Sumter County, P.O. Box 1434, Americus, Ga.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Nancy Jones of Americus; four grandchildren, Stephanie Grace Jones of Atlanta, Jennifer and Michael Stubbs of Macon, Rand and Dori Jones III of Columbus and Nancy Jones Stallings of Americus; three great grandchildren, William and Benjamin Stubbs, Lucy and Rand Jones IV and Cate Stallings.
Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Randolph Bluette Jones.
