Obituary for Pauline Saunders Cripe

Pauline Saunders Cripe, age 90, of 1935 Ga. Hwy. 195 N., Americus, died Thursday, June 30, 2011, at Brookside Glen Assisted Living in Columbus. A native of Troy, NC., she was born October 29, 1920,the daughter of the late Joseph Pleasant and Lillie Suggs Saunders. She was a homemaker and a member of Salem United Methodist Church where she was also active in the choir and missions.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 2, 2011 at Salem United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM with Rev. Marion Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Salem United Methodist Church and at other times the residence of Jody and Jaye Cripe, 156 Jury Clark Rd., Americus. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Salem United Methodist Church, 903 Upper River Rd., Americus, Ga. 31709 or Columbus Hospices, 7020 Moon Rd., Columbus, Ga. 31909.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Ralph Smith of Columbus; two sons and daughter-in-law, Harold James Cripe of Dunnellon, Fl. and Jody and Jay Cripe of Americus; nine grandchildren, Caleb Cripe, Caroline Cripe, Josh Cripe, Paula Earle, Brandy Smith, Wendy Smith, Todd Cripe, Emily Sutherland and David Eastabrooks and four great grandchildren.
