Obituary for Marcia M Player

Marcia Millwood Player, age 77, of LaGrange, died November 28, 2019, at Well Star Hospital in LaGrange. She was born August 05, 1942 to Dorsey and Moncile Millwood. Marcia was Baptist by faith and attended 1st Baptist Church of LaGrange where she was a member of Merry Makers at her church. She was a teacher for over 30 years touching the lives of many middle school students. She loved being a foster parent, and sold Avon for over 40 years.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, December 1, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Edgar Player officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 1, 2019 from 1:00-2:00 P.M at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel.
Survivors include her mother, Moncile Millwood of Americus, two daughters, Sonja Beavers of Starkville, MS. and Jana Player of Starkville, MS.; one son, Greg Player of LaGrange, one sister, Kay Millwood Bell of Americus, and one grandchild, Brandon Beavers of Starkville, MS. She is preceded in death by her father Dorsey Millwood and husband Richard Player. The family suggest memorial donations to be made to the American Cancer Society 250 William St NW. Atlanta, GA.
