Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel
Owner- Funeral Director- Embalmer
Greg is a 1992 graduate of Southland Academy in Americus, and a Graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science in Atlanta. He opened Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel in August of 1996 and has been serving this community in the Funeral Profession since 1990. In November of 2011 he opened Pineridge Cremation Services which is also located at the same location as the Funeral Home. In 2013 he aquired Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery which is located at 120 Upper River Road Americus and expanded it to include 15 additional acres and a section for pet burials. Greg is a member of the Americus Civitan Club, The Masons, and has been the Coroner for Sumter County since 2001. Greg enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his wife Lisa Hancock and they have two children.
Lisa is the office manager and is married to Greg Hancock and they have two children. She is Greg's right hand in everything at the funeral home and his number one supporter. She enjoys the outdoors and is always willing to help others.
Jean Hancock is Greg's Mother and has always been one of his biggest supporters. She is always ready to help with anything that needs to be done at the funeral home and is very active in the community. She is a member of First Baptist Church of Americus, and volunteers at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. She loves spending time with her family and friends especially her great-grandchildren.
Donnie is a native of Americus and very active in the community. He is dedicated to seeing that the needs of each family is met. He is married to Debra Price.
Rev. William Hall
Funeral Assistant / Chaplin
William is the Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Leslie and a true man of God. He is married to Jean Hall, and enjoys spending time with his family and helping others.
Brad Dickens is a retired Fire Fighter and is married to Sheryl Dickens. He enjoys flying his plane and spending time with his family. He is a Member of First Baptist Church of Americus.
Eric is a Firefighter and is married to Jennifer Dickens. He enjoys spending time with family and friends and is a Member of First Baptist Church of Americus.
Stevie is a fire fighter with the Americus Fire and Rescue. He is married to Sandy Lowery and they have one daughter.
Apprentice Funeral Director/Embalmer
Eric is an apprentice Funeral Director/ Embalmer and is married with two children. He is also a Teacher with Crisp County Schools.
Vault Service, Monuments, and Cemetery Grounds
Steven is a native of Sumter County and has three children. He takes care of all vault installations, monument installation and oversees the grounds and Sunset Memorial Gardens. He enjoys hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle and spending time with family and friends.
